Plantpal managing director and inventor Ade Andu is not new to winning awards for his product he won the prestigious Black Enterprise Innovator of the year award in 2003 for his gardening invention, Plantpal, which he dreamt up after asking himself the best way to water plants while on holiday.

When the compost is moist Plantpal does not release any water, it only releases when the compost is drying out.
